La Cumbre Center for Creative Arts (LCCCA) is an art collective that provides its 24 members with studio and display space in previously vacant retail spaces in La Cumbre Plaza – a beautiful upscale mid-century modern outdoor mall that, like many other malls, has suffered from retail decline.
LCCCA was created in 2018 by businessman Mike Cregan who was inspired by a creative and adaptive business model he encountered while visiting NYC. He returned to Santa Barbara, determined to create something similar here. LCCCA emerged from his determination and the effort of many artists living and creating art in the greater Santa Barbara area.
LCCCA consists of 3 galleries, each independently run by the occupant artists. Each gallery displays a wide variety of art in different mediums and styles. In July 2022, The Arts Fund, a county wide art association, joined our venue in a neighboring large space. Since then, Voice Gallery and Grace Fisher’s Inclusive Arts Clubhouse have also opened nearby, thus creating together with us, a true art destination in uptown Santa Barbara!
