LCCCA Santa Barbara

NURIT RUCKENSTEIN

I started my path as an artist in early childhood and was greatly encouraged by my mother an artist herself.

I was born in Bucharest Romania. When I was 10 my family moved to Israel where I did most of my growing up.

After arriving to The States as a young aspiring artist I supplemented my income by painting on clothes and was fortunate enough to have my designs discovered by a national retail chain. My life changed very quickly  and I was introduced to the world of business, fashion, production, merchandising, etc. Painting however always remained close to my heart and has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. The multitude of cultures and environments I was exposed to greatly changed my outlook on life and style as an artist.

Today I reside in Santa Barbara Ca and I am pursuing a full time art career.

To me art is freedom. Art reflects life and life changes. I enjoy exploring through different styles and colour combinations. Each painting is a new learning experience and adventure meant to express and communicate to the viewer a different state of mind.

In my paintings I like to explore the hidden spiritual energy of things and its movement through space. I like bold colours melting into each other in many layers creating depth and taking the viewer on a journey to their own hidden spirituality.
