I’ve been an artist all my life. I received a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Utah in 1976, followed by 2 years of graduate studies at the Boston Architecture Center.
I moved my young family back to Salt Lake City in 1978 and began my architectural career while producing, displaying and selling sculpture at night and on weekends. After becoming a licensed Architect in 1984, I concentrated on creating important and functional architectural projects, while always sketching, drawing and using my artistic training and talents to create expressive, harmonious, well-crafted spaces and buildings. I always maintained a studio and produced sculpture and paintings in my spare time. Since retiring to Santa Barbara in 2019, I have been interested in creating abstract figurative sculptures of local driftwood.
